After checking into your jungle treehouse accommodation, enjoy lunch overlooking the meandering Klong Sok River. Then it’s your choice of elephant trekking or a guided canoe trip. Either way, it’s time to sit back, relax and let your elephant or guide do all the work, while you take in the breathtaking scenery that has made Khao Sok such a talking point. Or take a half day jungle hike in Khao Sok National Park, including a visit to the Visitor’s Centre and a swimming hole (or waterfall in rainy season). Your experienced, English speaking guide will point out attractions of nature along the way.
Later, relax on the balcony of your treehouse, perhaps enjoying the playful cavorting of a local troop of macaque monkeys, which often gather in the adjacent jungle canopy in the late afternoon. In the evening savor a selection of southern Thai specialty foods with just the stars & the sounds of nature as your backdrop.
The following morning it’s off for travel by longtail boat to Cheow Laan Lake, then take a dip in the the pristine waters of Cheow Laan Lake. After lunch, it’s off for an easy guided jungle hike included experience for bamboo raft and cave exploration, returning to raft house for self kayak before return to Khao Sok.
Late evening, it’s time to say goodbye to your rainforest oasis.
