Bookings & booking amendments

All booked and confirmed tours have a guaranteed departure (see 'Cancellation by Limestone Lake Rainforest Tours' for more details), with a minimum of 1 person travelling. Other travellers may join you on your chosen tour, however this cannot be confirmed in advance.

On receipt of your booking request Limestone Lake Rainforest Tours will reply within three working days to confirm your reservation.

A deposit of 20% of the total cost for the tour and/or services will be required on confirmation of your booking. The remainder owing is to be paid in full no less than 21 days prior to your scheduled tour or service or on arrival at the tour (details will be confirmed in your booking documents and invoice). Failure to make payment by the due date will result in loss of any deposit monies already paid and cancellation of your booking.

We offer payment by international bank transfer to our nominated account, or alternatively, you can pay by credit card with our secure internet payment system.

INTERNET CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS:

Please note that the credit card cardholder's name from which payment is to be made, must match that on the payment link page ie. your own name). If you wish to have the credit card link issued in your own and/or an additional name (eg. your partners' name), please advise prior to making payment, so the link can be re-issued to you in both names.

Please note that credit card payments will incur a payment processing fee of 4.5% of the transaction payment amount.

INTERNATIONAL BANK TRANSFERS:

For international bank transfers, you should be able to perform this transaction at your local bank. If you choose this method of payment, please ensure you advise Limestone Lake Rainforest Tours by email once you have completed the transfer. We will then track the deposit with our bank and advise you once the money has cleared into our account. This normally takes 5 working days.

Please also ensure you advise your bank to deduct any bank fees and charges before the transaction is calculated and processed. Any discrepancy between the invoice total and the payment amount received by Siam Commercial Bank in Thailand will be the responsibility of the client, and accordingly, will be charged back to the client.

The details for international bank transfer payments will be forwarded to you at the time of your confirmed booking.

Should the original booking be made less than 21 days in advance of your tour or service, the total amount owing is to be paid in full in order to secure your booking, unless otherwise advised at the time of making a booking.

At times it may be necessary for Limestone Lake Rainforest Tours to make amendments to your bookings at short notice due to outside influences (see 'Cancellation by Limestone Lake Rainforest Tours' for more details). In such cases we will try to keep costs the same but may need to re-invoice if costs are considerably higher. We will contact you before any such amendments are made.

If you wish to change your booking in any way, the following fees will apply:

If the booking amendment request is received by Limestone Lake Rainforest Tours 30 days or more prior to your original tour's departure date, administrative fees will apply on an application basis and will be dependent on the details of the service or tour booked.

Note to parents considering travelling with children

1. Culture shock

From the first moment of your arrival in Thailand, the heat and smells will assault you. The Thai people have different ways of doing things, the food is new, the cities are usually noisy, personal space is a largely forgotten concept. People from Asia often want to touch and play with western children which could be very distressing for your child. Added up, this affront on the senses is referred to as culture shock & can be daunting for us all, but even more so for children.

The best way to handle the attention and change in culture is to take things slowly. Let your children adjust slowly to the new sights and sounds. You'll probably soon discover that your children are more comfortable in their new surroundings than you are!

2. Standards of safety and hygiene

Standards of safety and hygiene are sometimes considerably lower than at home. Remember that your children may be more prone to sickness than you are.

Please ensure you travel with your own first aid supplies and any individual medications your children may require.
